After the Storm

I'm back after a mini hiatus. I'm sure you all know why... four weeks of intense fashion bombardment leaves not a lot of time for blogging! I must say I was rather underwhelmed by the Fall 2010/11 shows. There were some moments of excellence, but there were no shows I absolutely loved, no mind-blowing displays of wild creativity. It was a rather subdued affair, obviously marred by the untimely death of Lee McQueen, but with the looks shown too, there was an overarching theme of mini...minima....minimalis....arrgh I can't bring myself to say it. It's a dirty word! Lets just say things were pared back, and me no likey. I'm going to be horribly unfashionable next winter, what with my love of patterns/embellishment/opulence... luckily I'm too cool to give a shit about looking on trend.

I had no idea my white bra is so visible under this vest. Perhaps time to invest in a nude bra (ugh normally they look so clinical... prosthetic even. So it'd have to be a pretty nude bra. Actually, I wonder whether mustard bras exist anywhere.....hmm. /End of soliloquy.)

Vintage leather jacket, shoes (French Connection), vintage scarf, blouse and velvet trousers (asos.com), vest (Ted Baker).

Even a lot of nude bras show through. I'm always getting more trying to find the perfect one but so far, no luck.

I agree - shows weren't as exciting as they could have been.

I would say McQueen's elite selection was beautifully embellished. As if you need another reason to love McQueen. I need one of his embroidered cocktail/lady of the court dresses. Or something like it.

Oh my gosh. You have the perfect face, the perfect complexion, the perfect hair, the perfect cheekbones, & frankly, this outfit is darn perfect, too! :)

good afternoon fellas. I'm honestly into shoes and I have been searching for that exact model. The prices as regards the velcros were about 170 bucks on every page. But definitively I set this locate selling them for half price. I absolutely love those gucci sneakers. I will probably buy them. what do you think?

"luckily I'm too cool to give a shit about looking on trend" i love this. i wish i could have that same sort of confidence. but being born and bred in sunny california, i already feel so out of place in anything but jeans, a tshirt, and flip flops =(
